I am a lover of everything fiber, with knitting being my favorite craft. I also enjoy crochet, cross stitch, and beading. This blog originally was to log my progress through The Knitting Guild Association’s Masters Program. It has become much more, it is a journal of the progress I am making, an inspiration that keeps me going, a way to make friends with others with the same interests, and a learning tool. I have grown through this blog and I look forward to the opportunities it affords me.
A great blog! I started my own knitting journey last November and know how fascinating it is. I look forward to reading your posts
Hi Knitsteve – thanks so much for the kind words. Feedback on blogs are critical. I am enjoying learning so much about the craft of knitting. I enjoy all fiber arts but knitting is my favorite. It is rich with history, spirituality, and helps to de-stress and get in touch with the world around us. I am heading over to your blog to check it out. Welcome, enjoy, and Happy Knitting!
You’re very welcome
My love of knitting grows by the day – thanks especially to its therapeutic value.
Hi, I found your blog through knitsteve and I love your projects! Good luck on your journey to becoming a Master knitter and more … Judy
Hello Judy: I am so glad you found my blog and like the projects. Thanks for the good wishes. I have learned so much about knitting through the Masters program and hope to some day be an “expert” knitter. It is impossible to know everything about knitting, there is always room to learn but I hope to become very knowledgeable about knitting. Please subscribe to my blog to receive future updates. I am off to check out your blog.
Fun blog Cecily! I have put my Masters Level 2 on the shelf again. I really want to finish it. There is alot of work involved and right now I am feeling I need to just knit for “me”…I do intend to finish sometime though. It will be fun to watch your progress and how you complete your swatches. Best to you on your journey through this process!!!!
I found your blog when I was searching for help with the tension on the edges of my stockinette stitch swatches. Did you ever put the next post on your blog? It says that your next post would be about tension on the selvedge edges, but I wasn’t able to find it. I enjoyed reading through your blog!
Thanks so much for your post. It came at a perfect time. To answer you, no I didn’t do the next post about correcting tension on a salvage edge. I’ve had a difficult time concentrating on my master knitting program. I was debating this morning if I would continue or not. One of the many reasons I started this blog was to help me stay focused and continue with this program. It is fun and interesting, but very difficult so it is easy to get side tracked. This program helps me learn so much about knitting so I am going to continue. I will be doing a post on controlling tension on salvage edges this week. Thanks again for your kind reminder.
