I crocheted a scarf for my daughter using Lion Brands Maple Shad>e Wrap. I used Lion Brand’s Hometown Yarn, a super bulky soft yarn in New York White. The pattern can be found at Lion Brands site. It is a free pattern. I followed the pattern which uses a V-Stitch. It makes an open pattern that is very pretty. All I did was chain 17 instead of the patterns instruction of chain 57. Instead of 17 V stitches across the row, you do only 4 V stitches across the row. I crocheted that pattern until the scarf was 50″ long and I added a 5″ trim on both sides resulting in a 60″ long scarf. The trim is just 10″ yarn strands, weaved through a stitch and knotted in half.

I designed this scarf for a dear friend. It is a modified pattern of Lion Brands Gratitude Shawl. I made the Shawl for my sister and loved the yarn and pattern so much I decided to make it in a scarf. It is designed in Blue and Almond Natures Choice Organic Cotton yarn. This is a delicious yarn to work with.
